At the barn

Meet some of the Bungalow Farm rabbits. We raise German Angora and high percentage German colored angora rabbits. All of our animals are descended from the 2002 and 2006 German importation by Leslie Samson, Susan Wiley and Monika Yost. At this point all our colored animals are black. Sue and Leslie brought back a few ZDK registered black Germans in 2006. The Bungalow Farm black Germans are from those imports. They have outstanding density and color.

Many of Bungalow Farm angoras are IAGARB registered demonstrating their conformance to the German standard and high wool yields. The 2006 importation is especially impressive; many of the animals brought back are ZDK registered with wool yields in the 2000 gram range, some as high as 2800 grams.

Bungalow Farms is pleased to have registered the first German in North America to exceed 2000 grams annum. Bungalow Farms Furrari was registered in March 2008 with 513 grams on a 91 day coat, or 2052 grams annual.

Samson's Otto Pilot

Samson's Otto Pilot is the Bungalow Farm's foundation buck. Now deceased, he is the sire to many outstanding animals in the barn. Almost all are registered. While never registered due to his size (he weighs over 13 lbs), he was a stunning animal from high wool grossing lines.

Bungalow Farm's Furminator

Bungalow Farm's Furminator is a young guy in the barn, and an up and comer. His sister is Furrari, who tested and registered with more than 2,000 g. We have big plans for Furminator.

Bungalow Farm's Mogul

Bungalow Farm's Mogul, is another young buck with a promising future as a sire. His registration wool test was 1680 annually. At less than a year, his average wool production should increase. His mom is Private Reserve, a registered doe and his dad is Once in a Blue Moon, also registered.

Bungalow Farm's Blue Moon Rising, is Mogul's sister. She is a large doe that at 11 months, weighs 12 lbs. Her wool density is equally as impressive. She was registered in November of 2008 at 1500 grams annum.

Bungalow Farm's Hummer

Bungalow Farm's Hummer, a Northern Star and Otto Pilot son, is an up and coming star here at Bungalow Farm. He was registered with a annual wool weight of 1484 grams. While not as impressive as his mom and others, he was just 7 months old when registered and had a summer coat!

Samson's Nitro came to Bungalow Farm last year as a baby. His lines are different from any of the above animals and comes from high production wool lines. He was registered in November 2008. Nitro has already produced some very nice litters that will be a major part of Bungalow Farm's breeding program.

Bungalow Farm's Ouija

Bungalow Farm's Ouija at 8 weeks old

Bungalow Farm's Ouija is a recent offspring of Windsor Farm's Voodoo (IAGARB registered) and Samson's Quickdraw. She is 100% German and solid black. Look for more German Black bunnies in the near future.
