At the barn

Meet some of the Bungalow Farm herd animals. We raise German Angora and high percentage German colored angora rabbits. All of our animals are descended from the 2002 and 2006 German importation by Leslie Samson, Susan Wiley and Monika Yost. Many of Bungalow Farm angoras are IAGARB registered demonstrating their conformance to the German standard and high wool yields. The 2006 importation is especially impressive; many of the animals brought back are ZDK registered with wool yields in the 2000 gram range. Some as high as 2800 grams.

Samson's Otto Pilot

Samson's Otto Pilot is our herd buck. While never registered due to his size (he weighs over 13 lbs), he is a stunning animal from high wool producing lines. He has produced as much as 2158 grams (19 oz.) of prime wool on a 90 day clip. He is the sire of many of the Bungalow Farm bucks who are IAGARB registered.

Bungalow Farm's Once In A Blue Moon

Bungalow Farm's Once In A Blue Moon is another fine buck at Bungalow Farm. He was registered with an annual gross wool weight of 1716 grams. His sire is Otto and his dam is Samson's Over the Moon, also registered and with a gross wool weight of 1744 grams.

Windsor Farm's Northern Star

Windsor Farm's Northern Star is one of our senior does with many registered offspring. She was registered with an annual gross wool weight of 1696 grams.

Samson's Fantasy, is another senior doe that has the honor of holding the IAGARB highest wool production record in 2005. She was registered with an annual gross wool weight of 1796 grams.

Bungalow Farm's Hummer, a Northern Star and Otto son, is an up and coming star here at Bungalow Farm. He was registered with a annual wool weight of 1484 grams. While not as impressive as his mom and others, he was just 7 months old when registered and had a summer coat!

Bungalow Farm's Private Reserve

Bungalow Farm's Private Reserve is a new mom. Bred to Samson's Quickdraw, a son of 2006 German importation we are looking forward to these babies! Private Reserve was registered as a 7 month old with a whopping annual gross wool weight of 1514 grams. Not bad for a summer coat! Bred to a buck with outstanding wool producing forbearers, we can't help but to have high hopes for their offspring.

Grey Rabbit

We are also very proud of our colored Germans. Bungalow Farm is pleased to have the first IAGARB registered hybrid German. Bungalow Farm's Felix was registered at 10 months of age with a gross annual wool weight of 1540 grams. His mother is pictured to the left.
